Program Qualifications
The St Bernard St Francis Food Pantry serves only those who reside in St Martin Parish. Eligibility for food is based upon household income and household size. Those whose household income is below 185% of federal poverty guidelines receive USDA (federal) food along with donated and purchased food. Those whose household income is between 185% and 200% of federal poverty guidelines receive donated and purchased food only. A picture ID, proof of address in the form of a bill with the client's name and address on it, and proof of income of everyone in the household are required to determine eligibility. Eligibility is redetermined in July of every year.
