Scottsdale Food Bank
Program Overview
The Scottsdale Food Bank provides food boxes filled with essential foods to supplement the food budget of needy families and food bags for people experiencing homelessness. Scottsdale residents may request a food box, by appointment, every 30 days. Specialty items may be requested such as pet food, paper products and toiletries.The Food Bank is dedicated to efficiently and effectively serving our community in need. Our goal is to provide reliable food assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Program Qualifications

Must be a Scottsdale resident or unhoused in Scottsdale: 

Must provide a copy of photo ID

Must provide proof of Scottsdale residency (Current Lease, Utility Bill, or Dated Mail)

TEFAP income guideline question asked.

Program Overview
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of persons with low-income, at least 60 years of age, by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods. USDA distributes both food and administrative funds to participating states and Indian Tribal Organizations to operate CSFP.

Senior Brown Bag Program
Program Overview
The Brown Bag Program offers Scottsdale seniors a bi-monthly food distribution on the 1st and 3rd Thursday morning of every month. The bags consist of five or six different items such as fresh vegetables, canned goods, drinks, breads and cold food items. The Brown Bag program is supported by Scottsdale Community Partners, a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency, in addition to grant funding provided by the city of Scottsdale. Efforts are coordinated through HonorHealth and St. Mary’s Food Bank to provide the items distributed. The purpose of this application is to meet the requirements of various entities who help support this food supplement program.

Program Qualifications

Must be registered in program to participate.

Must be a Scottsdale resident.

Age 62 years and older, or adults with a disability. 

Monthly income below $1,976/household of one or below $2,657/household of two or more

Must provide a copy of photo ID, proof of Scottsdale residency and household income documents

Food Distribution

Healthy Packs Program (SUSD Students)

Program Overview
Through our Healthy Packs program, we provide bags of kid-friendly, nutritious food to students in Scottsdale public schools who have limited access to food on weekends when free school meals are not available. Kids who receive weekend food are healthier and come to school ready to learn. Launching in 2011, Healthy Packs has received wide support from our community and now feeds 420 children in eight Scottsdale primary schools each weekend during the school year.

Program Qualifications
Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD Students) are enrolled through teachers and school specialists at Title I locations.
