Samaritan House offers two food distributions:

TEFAP Commodities & Food Supplement Distribution  

Commodities require registration and The Food Supplement Distribution does not require registration. 

Emergency Food bags are also available during office hours. 


Program Qualifications
Applications for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)/Commodities must be filled out in person in the office or during the food distribution.  No other documents needed.

Program Overview

The Samaritan House Shelter is an emergency overnight shelter now open all year round 7 days a week on a first come first serve basis. 

Day Center is also open year round for breakfast, shower, laundry, and other support services available at 6am-11am, 12pm-2pm and Dinner/Overnight 5:30pm-6am.

The voucher program is designed for those in need of clothing, and some household items like dishes, towels, blankets, etc.  In person registration is required at the main office during regular hours of operation.

To apply for a Thrift Store voucher please stop by our office and fill out an application.  ID may be asked for, but is not required, no other documentation needed.

Program Overview
The Good Neighbor Fund/GNF program helps with a past due or disconnect PNM bill, as well as assistance for senior citizens with their PNM bill.  Available during regular office hours.  Both walk in's and appointments are excepted.  Some documentation is needed to qualify.

Program Qualifications

To apply for the GNF program the following is needed:

Valid ID's (on all family members in household, for children Medicaid cards are excepted)

Proof of Income, and/or SNAP, and LIHEAP benefits (on all family members in household)

Latest PNM bill (bill must be in applicant's name)
