Program Overview
New Haven Helping Hands is a food pantry distributing food to needy families in Palo Pinto County and surrounding counties. We have several programs to help those that are in need of food. Our regular food distribution of groceries is on Tuesday and Friday; in addition we distribute breads pastries, fruits and vegetables on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. We have special days for seniors through TEFAP Program on second Wednesday of each month and the CSFP Program on the third Wednesday of each month. We have home bound delivery for seniors and disabled unbaled to come into our pantry on the fourth Friday of each month. Our mobile foodbank takes groceries to the community of Mingus on the third Saturday of each month which allows us to help the needy in the communities of Gordon, Mingus and Strawn and the western communities of Palo Pinto County and those communities in the western counties adjacent to Palo Pinto County.

Program Qualifications
We are an approved USDA food distributer and go by their guidelines for distribution. We have an application for regular food distribution which requires proof of residence and income and an application for the senior CSFP program. We require these applications to be filled out and kept in the client's chart for three years. Therefore, when applications are filled out we must see clients picture ID, proof of residence and income.
