Program Overview

The Hughes Christian Outreach Ministries has the motto "Serve with a heart." The goal is to provide nutritious food to the citizens in the Hughes and surrounding areas in the St. Francis, Lee, and Crittenden counties. The HCOM operates the local food pantry, which has been in operation since May 2007. The HCOM is set apart because we are the closest food source through the USDA agency to serve families in this area -we are the go between West Memphis and Forrest City.

Program Qualifications

The HCOM operates two programs-CSFP and TEFAP- both requires:

-residence and income requirements on a completed application

-picture identification-State ID or drivers' license

-a proxy identified if the need arises for someone to pick the clients' commodities

-a signed RIO.
