Location Overview

The House of Prayer Food Pantry is a community-based Organization that meet the needs of the homeless and needy.  We operate in the city of Portage, Indiana.  We are a not-for-profit organization.  100% of all donations go towards those who are in need.  We work with the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, helping them to reach many people who are in need of food.  We are always looking for qualified volunteers.  To volunteer you must have good communications skills and able to greet our clients with dignity and a smile.  Clients who come to the panty must have their current ID available at all times and everyone must comply with the rules and regulations of the Church and Pantry so things can operate smoothly and safely. 

Our Mission is to provide food assistance to all who are in need of food, and to grow our pantry to accommodate all who come through our doors.
