We are located at 208 S. Anderson St. Elwood, IN in the Hope Center building. Food Pantry entrance is in rear of the building, and two bright yellow doors are where people can enter for help through the Food Pantry.
The George Morrisett Center is also in the Hope Center Building and offers emergency utility assistance. To reach this office come through the front entrance next to the WIC offices

The Elwood Food Pantry operates a self-pick pantry to those households in Elwood whose household income is at 125% of the Federal Poverty Level. Requirements to receive food are I.D. for all household members, proof of Elwood Residency, most recent pay verifications (last 4 pay stubs) or an award letter for current year (example Social Security, SSD or SSI)
The George Morrisett Center provides Emergency Utility Assistance for Elwood residence who are in eviction status, or utility shut-off status. Verifications needed to qualify are proof of total household income, identification for all people living in the household, eviction or shut off notice, proof of expenses, in some cases custody letter or legal guardian letter for children living in the home. Further verifications may be required.
Requirements for Food Pantry and or Emergency Utility Assistance
proof of I.D. for all people living in the home. (drivers license, state I.D.birth certificate, gaurdianship letter, court document,
proof of income for all household members (last 4 check stubs, bank statement, on-line paystubs, alimony, child support, food stamps, Social Security award letter for current year)
proof of Elwood residence: (mail with address, lease agreement)
For Emergency Utility Assistance: Please provide current disconnect notice, eviction notice, LETTER FROM LANDLORD OR HOMEOWNER THAT THEY WILL NOT EVICT FRO 30 DAYS WHEN RECIEVING OUR ASSISTANCE.
We reserve the right to require that clients apply for assistance through the PiPECREEK TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE OFFICE BEFORE WE WILL FURTHER ASSIST.
