Program Overview

The Chester-Andover Family Center Thrift Shop provides more than affordable clothing and household goods to the public. We are here to provide a friendly, clean and satisfying shopping experience. Our volunteers will greet you with a smile and a great deal.

Our loyal customers trust us to provide adult and children’s clothing that is clean, seasonal, pressed, and while gently used, always in perfect condition. They also know that new items, still sporting tags, are also on our racks.

The Thrift Shop is staffed by volunteers who process donations of merchandise for sale in our shop. All clothing donations are sorted, cleaned, sized and steamed. Linens are cleaned and sized. Household goods are cleaned and checked that they are in working condition.Proceeds from Thrift Shop sales purchase food for our Food Shelf, provide Financial Assistance to Chester and Andover residents struggling to make ends meet and help us fulfill our mission.
