Program Qualifications

While new clients may apply for certification year-round, the recertification process for existing clients takes place in July of every year. In order to complete the certification/ recertification process, all clients must provide the items listed below.

1.) Valid ID or Driver’s License

2.) Valid Proof of Residence, such as a utility bill or rental/ lease agreement, with the applicant’s name and current address (Orleans Parish only)

3.) Valid, Current Household Income Information

Food Distribution

Second Harvest Food Bank Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) for Seniors Ages 60+

Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana will oversee the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), distributing commodities to individuals 60 years and over who meet Federal Income Guidelines. ID, proof of residence, and proof of income are required to apply. CSFP Distributions will generally take place on the fourth Thursday monthly, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Please note that any dates are subject to change according to Second Harvest Food Bank's schedule and availability.
