To receive commodities, every client is required to bring a large cart or reusable tote bags. NO loose garbage bags, paper or plastic grocery bags, boxes, pillowcases, etc. will be allowed.

 

Our partner, Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana, will oversee the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), distributing commodities to individuals 60 years and over who meet Federal Income Guidelines. ID and proof of income are required to apply. Stay tuned for distribution dates. Please note that any dates are subject to change according to Second Harvest Food Bank's schedule and availability.

Program Qualifications

While new clients may apply for certification year-round, the recertification process for existing clients takes place in July of every year. In order to complete the certification/ recertification process, all clients must provide the items listed below.

1.) Valid ID or Driver’s License

2.) Valid Proof of Residence, such as a utility bill or rental/ lease agreement, with the applicant’s name and current address (Orleans Parish only)

3.) Valid, Current Household Income Information
